Alexandra M. Birkner is an associate attorney who focuses her practice on bankruptcy cases. She understands that reputable and trustworthy attorneys are there to help people through some of the most stressful times of their lives. With a strong drive to be such an attorney, she happily joined Watton Law Group, a law firm that shares her commitment to making bankruptcy less stressful and more positive for more people.

Attorney Birkner applies her skills as an active listener to each bankruptcy case she handles. Clients can find a legal ally and a genuine friend in Alexandra, as she listens to their concerns, talks about solutions, and actively works on building their cases. By taking a step back and seeing each case as a whole, she often finds hidden complications that otherwise might have been missed by a less careful bankruptcy lawyer. Alexandra grew up on a small Illinois farm, and her family’s financial stability varied from harvest to harvest, so she can directly relate to her bankruptcy clients, who are often bothered by a shadow of financial uncertainty. Her aim is always to resolve the bankruptcy as efficiently as possible, protecting as many of her client’s assets as the law allows.

In 2012, Alexandra completed her undergraduate degree at Yale University. She attended Belmont University School of Law, where she finished her J.D. in 2016. Not long after her J.D. was completed, Attorney Alexandra Birkner was admitted to practice by several bars and courts, including the Illinois State Bar, Missouri State Bar, and the Southern District of Illinois (Federal).

Currently, Attorney Birkner is on the Board of the Philharmonic Society of Belleville in Belleville, Illinois. Founded more than a century ago, this group is a not-for-profit organization that supports the arts in Belleville, with a focus on musical art.

In her free time, Alexandra likes to knit and garden. When she wants to stay active, she likes to help around her family’s farm. Her family also regularly has a stand at the local farmer’s market, which Alexandra sometimes runs.
