Attorney Thomas A. Arany is a skilled and experienced bankruptcy attorney. As a partner at Watton Law Group, he helps clients navigate an array of complex legal challenges, from debt reorganization to consumer rights protections. This experience allows him to quickly troubleshoot problematic situations and put together workable solutions on behalf of his clients.

Attorney Arany believes that being a successful attorney isn’t always about winning complex—i.e., expensive and time-consuming—litigation. For him, success is measured by how often he is able to help his clients avoid problems altogether, as well as resolve issues practically and in as little time as possible. It’s this philosophy that shaped his approach to the practice of law, one that emphasizes innovation, efficiency, and communication. Attorney Arany strives to always be as responsive, direct, and clear with his clients as possible. He works to ensure his clients not only understand what they need to do, but also how bankruptcy can help them improve their long-term financial success.

In his own life and in his practice, Attorney Arany believes in balance. By helping his clients achieve better financial balance, he is able to help them not only resolve their financial problems but also go on to succeed in balancing the myriad areas of their lives.

Attorney Arany followed in his father’s footsteps to become a second-generation attorney. He grew up in Indiana and fell in love with the Mountain West at an early age after traveling to Colorado to snowboard and hike as a child. After earning his B.A. in international politics and Chinese from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, he volunteered and traveled across Asia before returning to the U.S. to attend law school. He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder in 2010 and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts throughout Colorado, Utah, and Oregon (inactive).

In his free time, Attorney Arany volunteers as a mentor to first-generation college students, helping them navigate the applications process. He also enjoys spending time outside, in the kitchen, or somewhere comfy with a book.
