Corrine E. Edwards, Esq.

Attorney Corrine E. Edwards began her legal career with the understanding that it would allow her to follow her two passions: helping people in need and solving complicated problems. As a member of Watton Law Group, she is able to do just that each day. Her focus today is on bankruptcy, but she has also practiced criminal defense, civil litigation, and estate planning in the past. A bankruptcy case result will change the path of the client’s life for years, if not forever, so she strives to find manageable financial solutions that truly reflect each client’s best interests.

As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, Corrine paid her own way through college. Upon finishing her education, she began practicing law as a single mother. She has received food stamps, Section 8 loans, and student loans. Her history has taught her firsthand how challenging life can be without ample finances, so she feels a direct connection to her clients who are in difficult financial situations. This connection lets her clients feel at ease when she works with them and also motivates her even further to succeed.

When she is not working on a case, Corrine often spends time with her daughter, attending live music and theater venues, or enjoying trivia at a local microbrewery. She has also spoken at several Continuing Legal Education (CLE) events hosted by the Missouri Bar and Eastern District of Missouri Bankruptcy Court.
