Derek D. Fulce is a dedicated bankruptcy attorney at Watton Law Group, committed to providing compassionate and effective legal guidance to clients navigating financial challenges.

Derek’s interest in the law developed during his undergraduate studies at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs in Bloomington. After taking a course in Alternative Dispute Resolution, he became a certified mediator in Indiana and worked extensively at a mediation clinic. This experience revealed his passion for helping individuals through difficult periods in their lives, leading him to pursue a legal career focused on practical, client-centered solutions.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, where he also obtained a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution. During law school, Derek served as a legal intern with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. This role strengthened his proficiency in legal research and his ability to support clients facing complex and stressful situations.

As a bankruptcy attorney, Derek approaches each case with a straightforward philosophy: if someone needs help, help them. He prioritizes listening carefully to his clients to fully understand their circumstances, then works with them to evaluate their options and determine the best path forward. His background in alternative dispute resolution, combined with strong legal research skills and a level-headed demeanor, enables him to guide clients effectively through challenging financial matters.

Derek grew up in northern Indiana. He and his wife recently returned to Wisconsin after several years living in Indiana, and they are enjoying reconnecting with the community. In his free time, he enjoys riding his Trek road bike and taking walks with their corgi.
