Cooper O. Neavill, Esq.

Associate

Email: cneavill@wattongroup.com

Cooper Neavill is an Associate at Watton Law Group, working out of our Colorado office. Like everyone at our firm, he is passionate about helping clients find the right solutions to financial troubles, which often includes discovering the brighter sides of bankruptcy.

Initially, Cooper wanted to go to law school for the intellectual challenges associated with both learning the law and applying it to various cases. Quickly, though, he found that he loved how the law could be used to help people out of difficult situations, and he became interested in bankruptcy law and debt relief cases. The time that he spent interning at the trial and appellate public defender’s offices in Boise solidified his desire to help others through the correct use of the law.

When working on a bankruptcy case, Attorney Neavill understands that client representation begins and relies on one thing more than anything else: empathy. He knows that people end up in financial hardship for all sorts of reasons, and he believes that every single person in such a situation deserves honest and dependable legal counsel.

Cooper grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming, at the base of the Bighorn Mountains, so he decided to stay in his home state for college. He attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, where he obtained a degree in Energy Resource Management and Development with a Minor in Business. With his interest in the law piqued, he decided to head west and complete his J.D. at the University of Idaho College of Law in Boise.

Other than his enjoyment of practicing the law, Cooper likes to run ultra-marathons, especially those hosted in the Rocky Mountains, and has a goal to complete a 100-mile race. For exercise that isn’t marathon-related, he plays tennis and golf. For quieter relaxation, he reads historical nonfiction books and watches hockey. Also, Cooper grew up playing the jazz trombone and briefly played for the University of Wyoming Jazz Band, so he has a deep appreciation for jazz music.
